Communicate

When a person communicates he or she tells another person what they want or do not want. There are different ways to communicate. A person may communicate on the phone, with a text message, or by posting writing to Facebook or posting writing to a website like this website.

A teacher tries to communicate new content on a new topic to students who may not understand.

A server at a restaurant helps customers who want food to communicate what food they want to eat.

A cashier helps communicate to customers at the store how much money something costs.

A dishwasher needs to communicate with the cooks and the chef in the kitchen restaurant. For example, when bringing hot dishes off the kitchen stove to the dishwasher a dishwasher may holler, "Hot pans, hot pans," so nobody gets hurt and there is a reduced risk for emergencies in the restaurant kitchen.
