About This Website

This site is for high beginning and low intermediate ESL students seeking certifications in the Home Health Care field. This site presents unfamiliar English vocabulary from three different online certificates. The PCA/CFSS certification through the Minnesota DHS, the American Redcross Bloodborne Pathogens online certification, and the American Redcross CPR/First Aid training all contain unique words and phrases that many high beginning and low intermediate ESL students may not understand. By using words and phrases students in ESL classes know, and by looking at a variety of examples in other contexts, students will acquire new keywords and phrases used in these certifications. After utilizing this tool, students will be able to better understand and answer questions when attempting to acquire these certificates.
